Welcome to Luang Prabang! Explore the city on a walking tour, visit some of the city’s most beautiful structures and enjoy shopping at night market.
Day 2: Luang Prabang – Pak Ou Caves
Join a short-guided tour seeing the city’s ancient temples of Wat Sene and Wat Xieng Thong. Cruise on the mighty Mekong River to visit the mysterious Pak Ou Caves and stop at riverside villages to learn about local craft production.
Day 3: Luang Prabang – Kuang Si Waterfalls

Witness tak bat ceremony before breakfast. Explore the Luang Prabang countryside with visits to ethnic minority villages and swim in the turquoise waters of Kuang Si Waterfalls.
Day 4: Luang Prabang – Vientiane

Day 5: Vientiane – Pakse – Champassak – Wat Phou
Fly to Pakse. Enjoy 3-day cruise on Mekong River exploring relaxed and beautiful southern Laos. Visit t ruined Khmer Hindu temple complex of Wat Phou.
Day 6: Huei Thamo – Oum Moung Temple – Si Phan Don – Don Khong
Leisurely cruise towards Si Phan Don. Explore quiet rural life on Don Khong Island.
Day 7: Ban Veuthong – Khone Phapheng Falls – Xieng Di – Pakse
Continue cruising to Don Khon and Khone Phapheng Falls. Drive to Pakse and relax.
Day 8: Pakse departure
Transfer to the airport for your flight home, or extend your stay in Indochina.
Luang Prabang Arrival
Upon arrival at the airport in Luang Prabang, you are greet and transferred to the hotel.
Enter this UNESCO World Heritage site where the ordinary is extraordinary in this town of ornate Buddhist temples, brightly robed monks and winding pathways. A local guide takes you on an engaging tour of stunning temples Wat Visoun, Wat Aham, Wat Mai. We then climb up Phousi Hill for an enjoyable exploration of the sacred, gilded stupa, witness a beautiful sunset view of the city and Mekong River. From there, we continue to the Night Market, where you can find the lovely collection and handmade textiles made by locals and hill tribe people from villages in surrounding areas. Find the perfect souvenir for yourself and gifts for loved ones at this enormous flea market.

Luang Prabang – Pak Ou Caves
After breakfast, we enjoy a short-guided tour seeing the city’s oldest temple of Wat Sene and the magnificent Wat Xieng Thong with its roofs sweeping low to the ground, which represent the classical architecture of Luang Prabang’s temples. Wat Xieng Thong is the main temple surrounded by the lot of small temple same architecture style. The name of the temple means “Temple of Golden city”.
We then board a cruise up the Mekong River, which also gives us a beautiful view of the tranquil countryside as well as an interesting visit to the mysteries of Pak Ou Caves which divided into two caves: Tam Ting (lower cave) and Tam Phum (upper cave). This cave contains over 4000 ancient statue that at least 300 years old with lot size and shape, all statue inside this cave was collected and kept here to hide away from enemy while Luang Prabang was invading. Along the way, we stop at the village of Ban Xanghai, where they distill local rice wine. On return, we take a short drive to Ban Xangkhong and Ban Xienglek, well known for its handmade Jute Sar paper.

Luang Prabang – Kuang Si Waterfalls
This morning wake up early and participate in the daily early morning ritual of saffron-clad monks with their black alms-giving bowls being give offerings from the local people, including the ubiquitous sticky rice, this is a traditional of Laos called Respect Tat Bak. After breakfast, you will visit the morning Phousi Market where you will see such diverse offerings as dried buffalo skin, local tea and saltpeter among the chickens, vegetables and hill-tribe weavings. Laos is also known for its traditional crafts, and today you will visit the Ban Ouay, Hmong Hill Tribe, Ban Ou, Lowland Lao and Ban Thapene of Khmu village. Continue driving to the beautiful Kuang Si Waterfalls which surrounded by wooded mountains. Water flows from upstream and carry an enormous amount of algae that made it look like a blue pools always. Return to Luang Prabang by late afternoon and continue to Ban Phanom, a well-known weaving village, return to the city by late evening in time for sunset at Wat Siphouthabath.

Luang Prabang – Vientiane
The National Museum at the former Royal Palace, also known as the Lao National History Museum - is an excellent way to learn about the history, culture and people of Laos. Today, we visit these sights before catching a flight to Vientiane. After checking into the hotel, we are met by our guide to continue exploring this capital city. We begin visiting the major sights including the oldest Wat Sisaket, the city‘s oldest surviving and most important Buddhism temple with thousands of silver and porcelain images in the gloriously authentic temple compound and is also a museum - which holds over 8000 books and 6840 valuable statues made of many materials such as copper, stone, wood, silver or plaster...; and the former royal temple of Ho Phra keo, which previously housed the famous Emerald Buddha Image.
On the way to the famous and sacred structure of Pha That Luang, we stop to take some pictures of the imposing Patuxay the Victory Monument, which is well known as "Arc de Triomphe of Laos".

Vientiane – Pakse – Champassak – Wat Phou
In the early morning, 06:30, we catch a flight to Pakse.
10:00 On arrival you are met and transferred to the Vat Phou Cruise leaving Pakse for Champasak. Once on board, we head arriving at Champassak in time for a riverside lunch, followed by a guided tour of the mysterious pre-Angkorian 10th century temple of Wat Phou. Wat Phou, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site, is a wonderful archaeological site of Khmer civilization, predating the famous Angkor Wat in Cambodia. As dusk falls, we board the Vat Phou for a relaxing cruise down-river, enjoying the tropical sunset on the deck. Dinner is served on board, while the boat docks for the night alongside a remote Laotian village.

Huei Thamo – Oum Moung Temple – Si Phan Don – Don Khong
Breakfast is served on board as we set sail for the village of Huei Thamo, only a few minutes’ walk away from the Atacular hidden forest temple of Oum Moung. After some exploring, board the boat for a cruise southwards and lunch on the deck, as we continue our leisurely sail to the wild paradise of Si Phan Don - Four Thousand Islands. We arrive in Don Khong (Khong Island) at Ban Dua Tae Village where the traditional way of life has not changed for centuries. We shall dine on board for a quiet dinner under the stars, serenaded by the songs of the buffalo toads.

Activities: Leisurely cruise towards Si Phan Don. Explore quiet rural life on Don Khong Island.
Ban Veuthong – Khone Phapheng Falls – Xieng Di – Pakse
Breakfast is served on the deck, while cruising to the small village of Ban Veuthong where we will board a small long-tail boat to Don Khon (Khon Island). After our visit, take a long tail boat back to the main land amid the by-gone splendor of another age; colorful French colonial houses and an old customs post, alongside a stone quay. Take a minivan to amazingly scenic splendor of the Khone Phapheng Falls, “the Niagara of the East“, close to the Cambodian border. We arrive back to “civilization”, after a two hour ride to Pakse, arriving about 15:30 and transfer to hotel.

Activities: Continue cruising to Don Khon and Khone Phapheng Falls. Drive to Pakse and relax.
Have breakfast at the hotel then enjoy a free morning before driving to the airport to catch your departure flight home.
