    Luang Prabang
    Visit this city found on the left bank of the Mekong River. Previously a religious capital, Luang Prabang showcases more than 100 temples, considered amongst the most beautiful in Laos. In particular, you will discover: Wat Xieng Thong or Temple of the Royal City - a vast collection of sacred buildings and the most beautiful temple in the city. Wat Mai - built at the end of the 18th century, a capped sanctuary featuring a five sided roof surmounted by three parasols. Wat Visoun - the oldest temple in the city with its wooden windows inspired by the Khmer Temple of Wat Phou. Wat Aham - located just beside Wat Visoun, framed by two large Banyan trees. Wat Senna - the first monastery whose roof was to be covered with yellow and red tiles. At the end of the afternoon, climb Mount Phousi to admire the sunset and then discover the H’mong Night Market on your way back to your hotel. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

  • DAY 3

    Luang Prabang - Pak Ou Caves
    In the early morning from around 5:30 to 6:30, you will be taken by your guide to Wat Nong Temple to witness the Tak Bat- Alms Giving Ceremony. During the ceremony, devoted locals stand on the sidewalk bearing food in their arms which they offer to the monks as they walk by in a procession of orange robes. Be drawn deep into the culturally significant moments as they take place in a peaceful and respectful ambiance with no words exchanged between the monks and the locals making the offerings. As a guest witnessing the rituals, you are recommended not to wear revealing clothing and you should take photos from a distance to show your respect. After the somewhat humbling experience, your guide will take you to a local market which is a very animated place to be in the morning, to say the least. The sights, sounds and smells are sure to awaken all your senses. While walking through, you’ll have a chance to taste and savor some local snacks. But, don’t fill up too much, after your market tour you’ll then be taken to a welcoming local restaurant for a breakfast designed to fill your tummy to start your day. Then, to be sure you’re really ready for the day ahead the early morning tour will end with cups of coffee relaxing by the Mekong.

    Then visit the Royal Palace, which is today the National Museum. Following lunch (on your own expense), drive to the pier and embark on a beautiful traditional-style cruising boat to cruise along the Mekong until reaching Pak Ou Caves. Visit sacred caves – also known as Tham Ting (lower cave) and the Tham Theung (upper cave) by locals, which shelter hundreds of Buddha statuettes. The caves offer a splendid view of the Mekong. Return to Luang Prabang with a stop at Ban Xangkhong and Ban Xanghai where you will discover the manufacturing process of the famous rice wine: Lao Lao. You can taste the wine here. Enjoy sunset while cruising back. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

    Luang Prabang - Hanoi
    In the morning, leave for Kuang Si Waterfalls on a return journey of around 50 miles. You will see villages and paddy fields all along the country road. Time is allocated to swim in the waterfalls (weather permitting) before you are transferred to airport for the flight to Hanoi. On arrival you will be transferred to your hotel with the balance of the day then free. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

  • DAY 5

    Hanoi
    8:30 Our local guide will pick you up at hotel and take you to Ho Chi Minh Complex, at which you visit the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, the Presidents Palace, Ho Chi Minh’s House-on-Stilts where President Ho Chi Minh lived until his last breath and the unique One-Pillar Pagoda. After that, we continue driving to Vietnam’s first university - the thousand-year-old Temple of Literature. In the afternoon, visit the Ethnology Museum (closed on Monday) and one of the most typical pagoda of Hanoi. In the evening, enjoy the traditional water puppet show. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel.
    Remark: Ho Chi Minh’s Mausoleum closes from 08 September to 08 November for annual maintenance. Easia Travel will arrange the visit outside.

    In the morning, leave for Halong Bay passing through large rice fields in the Red River Delta and at noon arrive at Halong Bay. Board a beautiful wooden junk for an overnight cruise on Halong Bay with fresh seafood meals. Overnight on board.

    Halong Bay - Da Nang - Hoi An
    You are advised to set the alarm clock to enjoy a spectacular dawn over the bay. Continue cruising among the spectacular limestone islands in Halong Bay’s emerald green waters. After brunch on board, return to the pier at noon and drive to Noi Bai airport for flight to Da Nang. Overnight at the hotel.

    Hoi An
    Get on your bike for 1 hour cycling in the Cam Thanh countryside to reach the locals’. You will be greeted with a welcome drink: rice tea. In this peaceful setting, you will be able to observe and take part in the various stages of rice processing: husking the paddy grains (the rice still covered in its shell), pounding and bleaching. Try your hand at the tools and artisan machines under the watchful and encouraging eyes of your teachers for the day. Finally, you will savor an excellent lunch of local specialties: Tam Huu (small skewers of pork and prawns, which are lovely to look at and eat…), rice pancakes, nems, soups and caramel pork. Return to Hoi An to visit Hoi An town, recognized by UNESCO as a World Heritage site because of its unusually well-preserved ancient streets and homes. Set out to explore the quaint cobblestone streets of the town with more than two-century-old Chinese houses. Sites include the Japanese Bridge, the Chinese Temple, and Phung Hung Chinese-style trading house. Dinner on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

    Hoi An - Hue
    Spend the morning free at leisure and then in the early afternoon we will depart for Hue via the scenic Hai Van Pass to enjoy one of the most beautiful panoramas in Vietnam as you look out over the central coastline. You will also pass through the quiet, white sandy beach of Lang Co along the way. Arrive in Hue at the end of day.

    Hue
    In the morning, visit the city of Hue with the famous Imperial Citadel, which is located right on the bank of the Perfume River. Then continue with typical garden house of Hue city, which was built according to precise rules of geomancy. In the afternoon you will visit Tu Duc's Tomb and Tu Hieu Pagoda.     Hue - Ho Chi Minh City
    Today we will take a morning flight to Ho Chi Minh City - also known as "Saigon" by many locals. Transfer to the city and visit the Cho Lon - Saigon China Town of ethnic Chinese with its market and Thien Hau Pagoda. We then drive to hotel for check in (Room is at disposal from 14:00). Following lunch time, visit some other historic landmarks of the city: Saigon Central Post OfficeNotre Dame Cathedral, Saigon Opera House and Dong Khoi Street. Meals on your own. Overnight at the hotel.

  • DAY 12

    Ho Chi Minh City - Mekong Delta - Ho Chi Minh City Departure
    Today we depart from Ho Chi Minh City to explore Ben Tre in the Mekong Delta (130km - 2.5 - 3 hour driving). Pick up at the Phong Nam Pier. Get on boat and will cruise along the Chet Say river (a branch of the Mekong) and stop off at various local workplaces to give you a picture of how the local economy works, including coconut activated charcoal factory where coconut shell is put into high heat kiln to produce coconut charcoal; a coconut processing workshop, where you can sample fresh coconut and see how every single part of this versatile nut is turned into food and other products. Then the boat will cruise through the small canal, discover the local life. The boat will then stop at a quiet village where you can have a short walk to experience real Delta village life, visit a mat weaving house, where straw mats are woven using a hand loom – you can even have a go at weaving yourself before boarding your xe loi (a kind of motorized rickshaw) or biking into the village where you can see farm, rice field and vegetable plan before stopping at a local house for a delicious and filling lunch, featuring such local specialties as elephant-ear fish and river shrimp, washed down with some cold drinks or beers. It’s time to board a sampan for a relaxing trip along narrow canals. Take boat back to Pier. Back to the main road in the late afternoon and be transferred directly to airport in Ho Chi Minh City for your departure flight. End of services.
